Making Group Work Work

Making Group Work Work In-Person

Facilitator: Anastasia Gracheva, CETLI Fellow, Management

For group work in class, students are expected to contribute meaningfully, jointly, and interdependently to achieve a shared goal. While group work can deepen learning, build critical thinking, and meaningfully incentivize collaboration, it can fall short without meaningful design and organized facilitation. In this workshop, participants will engage with specific tools, frameworks, and group work models to best support student learning and manage conflict. You will leave with concrete strategies to design effective group work assignments that encourage accountability and enable students to thrive.
