Using Graduate Research for Teaching In-Person
Facilitator: Drs. Catherin Sirois, Sociology; and Olivia Hu, Postdoctoral Fellow, Race, Science, and Society
Convener: Rehana Odendaal, CETLI Graduate Fellow, Education, Culture and Society & Sociology
As early career academics, incorporating your own research into the courses you teach is a key part of developing your academic persona. Join us for a panel discussion featuring Assistant Professor Catherine Sirois and recent Penn doctoral graduate Olivia Hu. We will discuss different examples of how a course might draw on your research, experiences with connecting graduate research and potential teaching roles while on the job market, and a Q&A session.
