Grad Cafe: What CETLI Can do For Graduate Students

Grad Cafe: What CETLI Can do For Graduate Students In-Person / Online

The Grad Cafe series through the Grad Center, in collaboration with other campus partners, features resources and tips that will help you successfully navigate your academic experiences at Penn. Campus partners share best practices to benefit all graduate and professional students. Healthy snacks, coffee, and tea are provided. We encourage you to BYOM (Bring Your Own Mug)! Please note that sessions are held in Van Pelt Library, not the Grad Center. Our event begins promptly at 11:00am so please arrive early to find your snack and seat. A Penn graduate ID is required for entry.

Join us for an informative session designed specifically for graduate students, led by Karen Lagasse, Associate Director of Graduate Student Programming & Pedagogy at the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Innovation (CETLI) at Penn. This presentation will introduce you to the wide range of services and supports offered by CETLI, organized into three key categories:
1.    Teaching at Penn: Discover resources and workshops to enhance your teaching skills and effectiveness within the Penn community.
2.    Preparation as Future Faculty: Gain insights and tools to prepare for a successful career in academia, including job market preparation and professional development.
3.    Pedagogy in Theory and Practice: Explore comprehensive support for understanding and applying pedagogical theories and practices, our largest category, designed to deepen your teaching and learning experiences.
Whether you’re looking for professional development opportunities or resources to enhance your teaching skills, CETLI is here to help you succeed. Discover how we can assist you in navigating your teaching journey as graduate students.
