Resume for City, State, & Federal Job Applications Workshop [Career Insights Series] In-Person

In this workshop, advisors from Penn Career Services will share advice and best practices for writing effective resumes for government jobs and internships. From learning about creating a “federal resume” (sort of a cross between a CV, in terms of its length and types of sections included, and a resume, in terms of the focus on skills), to approaches that will help with applications for State and City level opportunities, this session will highlight steps you can take and resources you can use when working on your materials.

Join Career Services and the Grad Center for this new fall programming – the Career Insights Series is a set of fall programs for Penn graduate students and postdocs to dive into different career fields. Each week is centered around a career field, and will offer multiple sessions to give you a chance to learn from professionals and alumni, learn the ins and outs of various industries, and learn more about how to find job opportunities, as well as what it is like to work in those fields. These panels, programs and workshops are a great way to explore your options, get advice, and connect with people and information that can help you guide your career path.
