Tools, Tips, and Resources for Recording and Editing Podcasts In-Person
This workshop will provide an overview of logistics for creating podcasts with resources available to Graduate Students at Penn. In addition to covering questions like what students need to know to create a podcast from start to publication, participants will learn about recording studio locations, editing software, how to rent equipment, and how to request technical support through Penn Libraries. The workshop will also include a demo of Garageband and a tour of the Ormandy Music and Media Center recording studios in Van Pelt Library.
Location: Van Pelt Library | 3420 Walnut St | Film Studies Classroom 425, 4th Floor (enter Van Pelt, take elevators to 4 and walk far west until you almost can’t go any further (425 is on the left of the stacks).)
This workshop is part of the Support for Publishing Workshop Series, coordinated by Penn Libraries and the Penn Graduate Student Center. For more on podcasts, see the Podcasts as Digital Scholarship workshop on March 15, also part of the series, and the recent Penn Libraries blog post on Considerations for Creating and Publishing Podcasts as Scholarship.
